We have 2 cars and do not drive much nowadays as compared to when younger. Prefer to Fly. Took out their Pay as You Drive Comprehensive Insurance, Good product, well priced and suits us perfectly.

In process of switching car Insurance over to them for 2 cars. On line sign up process works ok but post that it is a Pandoras Box. You either get inundated with phone calls post any on line process or the opposite where they promise to call you back at a more convenient and pre arranged time and don't. No apology etc just ignored. Seems their whole process built around what suits them not what is perhaps best for us, their customer. Maybe being a bit older we have a different perception of Customer Service, with AS felt they do what they want, not always what they say they will or what we need. Bit of a life lesson.

I was given plenty of information by Mathew, had all my questions answered clearly and when he said he would call back he did on time. However, when I asked to be put through to get a quote for personal contents insurance there was an enormous problem. I have had contents insurance for 58 years in rented and owned properties with never a problem but when I requested a quote yesterday I was declined. The first time we have ever had any insurance declined and without a reason. I had a car insurance policy earlier for around 5 years and only cancelled last year due to the sale of my car, never a problem. I had always been very happy with the deal and kept my side. I now live in the safest, most secure premises ever. Our unit door is locked, the whole building is securely locked and it is an over 65's gated community on top of all that security. So why was just a quote declined? It beggars belief. To say I was unhappy was a total understatement. It made me question my decision to trust and hand over money and take on our new car insurance policy with Australian Seniors Insurance.

They tried to increase my premium by over $100 because I made an error in my 41 year old daughter’s year of birth. Tried to correct this 3 days later when the full policy was emailed and checked for correctness by myself. To no avail. Explanation was nonsensical in the circumstances and they were adamant I had to pay the higher premium. This all happened prior to the commencement date of the policy, so naturally I cancelled the policy and took my business elsewhere.

All I tried todo was update an existing policy to cover a new car purchase. Staff were nice enough but the process ended up taking almost two hours. It didn’t help that I hung up in utter frustration once and left our new car, unknowingly, uncovered for a couple of days.

Yes. I was insured with Seniors for my Mazda 3. On the 20th of April 2023 I was involved in an accident, where the police and ambulance attended. The other driver's car, hit my car in the rear whilst I was stationary waiting to turn right. She was at fault; I was injured, and my car was a repairable write off. She has been charged with reckless driving, causing injury to myself. Seniors accepted my no excess claim, with supporting police statement etc. My insurance was cancelled after I received a payout. In good faith I contacted Seniors to insure my new MAZDA 2 only to find out, because I made a claim that was a no excess claim, my new insurance has increased from last year's 2022 insurance by almost $300 for my new car. I was shocked to hear that it doesn't matter whether you're at fault or the other driver, apparently the insurance will increase astronomically. This is grossly unfair because, one doesn't have control over what the other driver does.
