Overall the purchase was good and reasonably pain free. The salesman seemed to have limited knowledge. He had no idea what cement/fibro cladding was in the house that is only 15 years old. He put it down as cement and when I received the policy I noticed this and when I pointed it out to Seniors they have now bumped up the monthly premium around 10 dollars a month. The other issue was the salesman would not complete the sale on the first call as he wanted me to send my mothers POA document through again even though Seniors already had this document from my mothers other house which is insured with them. I emailed it through the next day but didn’t hear anything for a week and I had to chase it up myself to get the insurance in place. It was nowhere near as easy as the initial house I insured with them earlier in the year.

I purchased a motor vehicle insurance policy but found the next day I could get a better deal elsewhere. Tried to call to cancel the policy, however, found it much too difficult to manage to speak with someone. When you first phone up you are met with a five-minute spiel about Seniors insurance products. I tried four times to contact someone, but my phone kept dropping out. I am really quite annoyed that it is so difficult to get to speak with someone. I have sent emails and received replies, which are confusing to me.

I was seeking car insurance as the renewal premium offered by my current insurer seemed outrageous. I phoned them to query if a mistake had been made but was rebuffed. I enquired from family members and was given Seniors as one option. My online enquiry was followed up by a phone call from you and I completed the purchase as a result. I saved over $900.00 by not insuring with my previous provider. Caveat Emptor.

the online experience was not very good, as it was very hard to navigate, then I could not do what I wanted too, if i changed something I would have to start at the beginning. I then spoke to an agent, who got me through it without any issues, more than I could have done online, and more was explained. It seems more beneficial to go through an agent.

I was initially a little annoyed, as I had given a date and time that I would make myself available to your staff, but was continually called out of those times while I had to concentrate on customers or specific tasks, however they finally managed to call me at an agreed time and I could spend some time with your staff member. Follow-up experience was frustrating. My policy date starts tomorrow, but still no documentation received from Aust Seniors — they blame Australia Post who (according to them) has 15 business days to deliver their mail. (I'd call 15 business days "lost in the post"!) On top of that, Aust Seniors still hasn't deducted my payment, which apparently may take days AFTER the policy commences. However, they assure me I'm still covered, even though I haven't paid. (I somehow doubt that, if I made a claim, and hadn't yet paid, they'd cover me.) I had expected better from Aust Seniors - brilliant when selling the policy, less so now.
