Upon speaking with Vanessa ( Area Manager) she transferred my call to Deanne. I explained that I was interested in a policy and that we would be moving shortly. Deanne went through all the relevant options and I then decided to go with Aust Seniors. Deanne suggested that as I was moving it would be best to pay monthly for the next 2-3 months then start a new policy once we are settled into our new home. We thought that was a great idea, and that is exactly what we have done.

I signed up with Australian Seniors Funeral Insurance thinking I was purchasing a product from 'Real Insurance'. I rang a phone number listed on the Real Insurance website and the call centre put me through to your company instead without my knowledge. Not happy. I am cancelling the policies but finding it more difficult to cancel than it was to sign up as the cancellations officers are too busy to talk to me and are scheduling a call back that I haven't recieved within 24 hours as promised.

I thought that the two people to whom I spoke were very good - efficient and polite and knew the product well and were able to answer my questions. However, I found the company itself offensive and intrusive. I had barely entered my details in the process of getting a quote when the phone rang and it was someone from your company to talk to me about the product. I did not want or need that, at that stage and if there was something I needed to know, I would have called. Since that time, (yesterday) ever time I turn on my computer I see on the screen, an ad for Seniors Insurance and I don't need that as I have bought the product so just leave me in peace.
