I have an older car, not of high value, and was able to get a quote for '3rd Party Fire and Theft' insurance, then go backwards and change to 'Comprehensive', and compare costs. It also showed the comprehensive insurance value, something other companies are reluctant to reveal! The premium was far below RACQ, whom I gave up.
